Strange but great

¡Hola! Últimamente no sé cómo sentirme. Por una parte estoy animada porque al fin tengo trabajo en Inglaterra, pero por otra parte me desanimo porque no consigo un trabajo audiovisual. ¿Algún día trabajaré haciendo lo que me gusta? Me parece que acabaré siendo una camarera toda la vida, ya sea en un hotel o en una bonita cafetería de muffins.

Estoy desanimada porque no me gusta vivir en Hemel Hempstead. Me gustaría vivir en Londres, porque esa era la idea inicial, ¿no? La idea no era mudarme de Bahía Grande mallorquina a su casi-equivalente inglesa...

A pesar de comerme la cabeza con eso... Me han pasado un par de "sorpresas". ¡El otro día Paula Bonet decidió dibujarme para una de sus exposiciones en Barcelona! (Mirad su página, ¡sus dibujos me encantan!). La descubrí hace poco gracias a una amiga de Londres, y cuando vi que Paula pedía que le enviáramos fotos porque necesitaba caras para nuevos dibujos no dudé ni un momento.


Hi! Lately I don't know how to feel. I'm happy because I have a job in the UK, but on the other side I'm a bit sad because I can't find a job in the media industry. Will I ever work doing something I really like? I think I will end up being an unhappy waitress, even if it's in a cute muffin coffee shop.

Also I'm not very happy because I don't like living in Hemel Hempstead. I'd like to live in London, that was the initial idea! I didn't want to move from Bahía Grande in Mallorca* to the English version of it! (Nice and quiet place but there's nothing fun to do).

Apart from thinking about all those things, I've had a few surprises these days. The other day Paula Bonet did an illustration of me for one of her exhibitions in Barcelona! (Take a look at her website, her drawings are amazing!) I discovered her work not long ago, thanks to a friend of mine that lives in London, and when I saw that Paula wanted photos because she needed new faces to draw I sent her one of me.

Paula hace dos exposiciones este mes en Barcelona, así que a los que os pille por ahí os recomiendo ir. 

Mi dibujo estará en la del día 16/04 en el Music Hall de Barcelona y la otra es el 06/04 (¡mañana!) en la Galería Escalera de Incendios a las 19h.

La otra sorpresa es que el otro día salí en Explore de Flickr! Subí esta foto y en 24 horas tenía 1000 visitas y 50 favoritos, ¡era de las más vistas! Es la primera vez que me ha pasado y me sorprendió mucho tener tanta actividad en mi galería.


Paula is doing two exhibitions in Barcelona this month, so if I were you I would go if you're near there. Mi drawing is in the exhibition of the Music Hall de Barcelona (16th April), and the other exhibition is in Galería Escalera de Incendios (6th April (tomorrow!) at 7pm).

The other surprise is that one of my photos was on Explore on Flickr! I uploaded this photo and 24 hours later it had 1000 views and 50 favourites, it was one of the most seen photos of the day! It's the first time it's happened to me, I was surprised to have so many Flickr comments.
